LANSING – Michigan AFL-CIO President Ron Bieber issued the following statement today commenting on Hillary Clinton’s speech on the economy in Warren, Michigan:
“Today Hillary Clinton proved why she’s the best candidate for Michigan’s working men and women. She laid out a smart and detailed plan for our economy that will create an estimated 320,000 jobs for working people in Michigan. That’s exactly the kind of bold leadership we need in the White House to build an economy that works for all of us.
“Hillary’s aggressive plan to invest in America’s infrastructure will put thousands of people to work fixing our roads and bridges. And most importantly, she made a forceful argument for why Michigan can’t afford more bad trade deals like the TPP, which will make it easier for big corporations to ship more American jobs overseas.
“That’s why Michigan’s labor movement is united like never before and ready to make Hillary Clinton our next president.”
